Meet and greet the members of the research group Jeunesse de Papier at the Salon de l’Histoire!
As part of a seminar on the history of childhood and youth at the University de Montréal, the team worked on a corpus of Quebec Catholic magazines dating from the 1950s and 1960s. These youth magazines are the first incarnations of periodical literature for young people in pre-Quiet Revolution Quebec and they offer a window into Catholic youth of the time, what interested them, what they consumed, but also what was expected from them, the paths offered to them and the normative frameworks they were imposed.
