The Société d’histoire du Plateau-Mont-Royal was founded on January 8, 2006 in Montreal and its mission is to:
Bring together all those interested in the history of Plateau-Mont-Royal as well as the genealogy of its residents
Stimulate the interest of the population and facilitate the dissemination of information concerning the significant events and historical facts of this very special district of Montreal
Promote the conservation and enhancement of sites, monuments and documents of a historical nature
Encourage research and educational visits on the history of the borough
