Meet and greet the Société historique de Montréal at the Salon de l’Histoire!
Founded on April 11, 1858, the Société historique de Montréal is a non-profit organization whose legal existence is based on an act of the Parliament of United Canada, sanctioned on May 4, 1859. It is the oldest society of history in Canada.
The Society welcomes anyone wishing to participate in the study and dissemination of the history of Montreal and, secondarily, of the history of Quebec from a Montreal perspective.
